Pelicano is a film production company founded in 2017. The name came up whilst shooting a documentary in Panama, where a scoop of pelicans flew close to the crew leaving them open-mouthed by their mesmerising beauty in-flight.
They realised they wanted their spectators to feel just that hypnotic sensation when watching their films.
The logo honours this instant in a slightly different way. In it, a pelican is the open-mouthed one and a cinema screen is the cause of it.
The bright blue hints at the screen one got when putting on a VHS back in the day, the founders are 90s kids after all. The simple Sans-Serif type is complementary to the more intricate design of the pelican.
